This is an exciting development for EIP services in North Kent, offering an At Risk Mental State (ARMS) pathway. This multi-professional team will provide comprehensive assessment and formulation for people aged 14 to 35 years who are at ultra-high risk of developing psychosis. Treatment includes CBT for emerging psychosis and co-existing mental health needs; family interventions and carers support, and psycho-social therapeutic interventions that is trauma informed.
The ARMS service will work collaboratively with other service providers, including ChYPPS, Substance Misuse Services and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) services (Live Well Kent and Medway, MIND) and the 18-25 pathway for young people. This will not only allow quick, easy access to treatment but also enhance support for the delivery of the psychosocial offer to young people in schools, colleges, universities and local communities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for offering high quality assessment and intervention (including CBT/CBTp and family interventions) and key working support to young people with complex presentations entering the service. You will line manage and offer clinical supervision on psychological work to other practitioners.
Consultation, risk formulation, safety planning, facilitating reflective practice and teaching to staff in the multi-disciplinary team will also be an expectation.

What is High Cost Area Allowance?
The High-Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also referred to as London Weighting is a payment made to employees who work in London and the surrounding areas.
As this post is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley, the successful applicant will receive an additional payment each month.
5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,303 per year and a maximum payment of £2,198 per year (the agreed annual amount will be divided into 12 equal amounts and paid monthly) (2025 figures)
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
