
Do you like ice-cream and seaside rock, 180 degree skies and beautiful golden beaches then it may be time to consider a move to join our welcoming Audiology Team on the “Sunrise Coast”. We are a friendly department currently enjoying low wait times for all aspects of our service; we receive excellent feedback from our both our patients and staff Friends and Family Tests.
You will join us at an exciting time as we extend our Audiology service into the newly built, on-site, Community Diagnostic Centre where we will provide adult, paediatric and tinnitus assessment pathways. We are also involved with the planning of our new hospital due to open in 2031/32.
We are searching for a forward-looking and enthusiastic person to join us. You will be expected to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and as such have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will hold a BSc (Audiology) or nationally recognised qualification in Audiology and have appropriate post qualification experience in an NHS Audiology Service. You will be registered with the AHCS/HCPC or working towards registration.
Although based in the Audiology department, you will also work in the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) undertaking the diagnostic assessment of patients referred on Paediatric, Adult and Tinnitus pathways. The post also includes undertaking audio/vestibular rehabilitation on all patient groups at the main Audiology site.
You will be actively engaged in the UKAS IQIPS accreditation process for the CDC and main Audiology department. You will also take part in the quality assurance, audit and peer review .
The post is full time, but there is the opportunity to work flexible hours within a 4/5 day week or 9 day fortnight.
