Senior Acute Medicine Trust Grade Registrar

To be eligible to apply, you will need GMC registration, MRCP and substantive experience at minimum CT2 level or equivalent in the NHS.

You will increasingly work towards independent practice at Registrar level, leading ward rounds, assessing patients, making decisions etc. with Consultant support and supervision available at all times
Working in our Acute Medicine department encompasses many management skills such as managing the ward, keeping to target times, managing junior colleagues and constant reprioritisation of tasks.
You will be expected to make appropriate decisions regarding the need for admission, the development of strategies which might provide an alternative to admission and identifying where early discharge would be safe and appropriate.
The opportunity to further develop skills such as history taking, physical examination, appropriate investigation and rational prescribing will be plentiful in the role.
