We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Sector Clinical Lead to join our South Lancashire Sector leadership team.  The successful candidate will be an experienced HCPC registered Paramedic who holds a relevant master’s degree qualification or has substantially demonstratable experience of working at this level in a similar role or setting.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the area Consultant Paramedic, the Sector Clinical Lead is the subject matter expect, as a senior clinical lead embedded within the Sector operational leadership team.  The role provides oversight of clinical supervision for ambulance teams and ensures processes are in place that support new qualified and experienced clinicians to provide high quality patient care.

The Sector Clinical Lead also leads on high level clinical investigations, including the enactment of duty of candour.  Taking forward learning identified at system and individual level and providing a clinical link for complex case and patient safety event reviews as part of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.

The Sector Clinical Lead also works collaboratively with partners at place level, to support the development of clinical care pathways and contributes to population health improvement.  Monitoring the implementation of clinical pathways and procedures and through education and professional development, working with Sector teams to progress clinical care delivery.

Assessment Centre and Professional Discussion are currently planned for 8th July 2025 but this date may change, successful candidates will be kept updated of any changes.
