We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic & motivated SCPHN - School Nurse with the initiative and drive to play a key role in shaping the future of our service. As part of our continued commitment to delivering high‑quality, specialist public health assessments and interventions for our school‑aged community, you will directly contribute to our work addressing health inequalities, the wider determinants of health, and public health prevention.
This is an exciting time to join the Hull 0–19 (25) Integrated Public Health Nursing Service (IPHNS) as we continue to advance our transformation journey. Your expertise will support us in further strengthening the quality, accessibility and impact of our services for children, young people, and families across the city.
As trusted public health professionals, school nurses provide accessible, culturally sensitive information on physical and mental wellbeing, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and national services to enable effective signposting. Their leadership helps shape joined-up approaches to health improvement, recognising that whole-school and whole-community strategies are crucial to improving outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, strong organisational ability, and a willingness to drive and support change within an evolving service. You must be confident working autonomously while also thriving as part of an integrated team.
