Job summary

Main duties of the job

Step into a pivotal safeguarding role where your professional expertise directly strengthens the protection of children, young people and families. As a key member of the MultiAgency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), you will use your clinical and analytical judgement to assess, interpret and share essential health information that informs timely, proportionate and effective decisionmaking. Your work will be central to identifying risk, understanding vulnerability and ensuring that children at greatest risk receive the right support at the right time.

In this fastpaced, collaborative environment, you will work closely with colleagues across health, social care, police, education and other partner agencies. You will contribute to multiagency discussions, evaluate presenting concerns, and help determine the most appropriate safeguarding pathway. Your professional insight will support early identification of harm, escalation where necessary, and the development of protective interventions that prevent children from slipping through the net.

Your responsibilities will be varied and meaningful from reviewing referrals and analysing complex information, to offering clear, evidencebased advice that shapes safeguarding outcomes. You will contribute to threshold decisionmaking, ensure accurate and timely informationsharing, and uphold high standards of professional curiosity, challenge and accountability.
