Job overview

We have 2 fixed term vacancies (1 year) available to cover secondment and maternity leave. Successful candidates will be considered as fixed term contract or as a secondment opportunity.

Dorset County Hospital offers the opportunity to work on acute inpatient wards and assessment units; outpatient clinics and in rehabilitation facilities including community rotations in partnership with Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.

Our 4 month rotational posts include a wide variety of specialties including:

Dorset County Hospital

  • Older Persons Wards
  • Acute Stroke and Neuro
  • Stroke Rehab Unit (Yeatman Hospital)
  • Orthopaedics (Elective & Trauma)
  • Front of house (Emergency Department & medical assessment unit)
  • Acute Care (Respiratory, Surgery, Medicine and Intensive Care)
  • Musculoskeletal outpatients

Dorset Healthcare NHS Trust

  • Mid Dorset Integrated Community Rehabilitation Team
  • Integrated Community Rehabilitation - Westhaven Community Hospital
  • Dorset Stroke and Neuro Community Service

As a Rotational Band 5 we can offer you:
