Job summary

Main duties of the job

Our aim is to provide a high quality, efficient service to maximise patients independence and function with the intention of facilitating safe, timely discharge and prevention of hospital admission. There will be an opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients many of whom have complex needs.

Our 6 monthly rotations currently cover the following areas of practice and you will be based in one of these areas:

  • Integrated Medicine & Surgery
  • In Patient Orthopaedics
  • Stroke Unit
  • Paediatrics
  • Intermediate Care
  • Locality Therapy
  • Community Occupational Therapy (Adult Social Care based)

All our teams:

  • Are based in multidisciplinary teams
  • Are based in modern well equipped facilities
  • Have at least one Senior member of staff within the specialty
  • Commitment to preceptorship, supervision, Appraisal, CPD and staff training.
