37.5 hours

We are seeking a 3 month fixed term maternity cover rotational radiographer at the Horton General Hospital, Banbury. The Horton General Hospital is part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, also comprising the John Radcliffe, the Churchill and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospitals

Main duties of the job

The Horton Radiology department offers excellent experience, with CT, Plain film, Mammography, MRI, Theatre Fluoroscopy and Ultrasound modalities on site. Two CT scanners including a GE Revolution GSI and a Siemens Somatom Go Top.   Our Emergency Department has a DR x-ray room.

Working for our large Trust, with four main hospital sites and a further four Community Hospital sites, offers our staff a very wide choice of specialities, working environments and developmental opportunities. There is an Insignia PACS system and an HSS Radiology information system (CRIS) which is used across all sites

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Horton has approximately 200 beds and offers a good range of local services, e.g. Accident and Emergency, Medicine, Outpatients, MSK and Women and Children’s services. It is located within easy walking distance of the busy market town of Banbury in North Oxfordshire, close to Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. There are excellent transport links to London and Birmingham, via motorway or rail, and good onsite parking provision. There are some excellent schools within the area and a good selection of areas to live that would suit most tastes and budgets. There is also an excellent children’s day nursery on site, with discounted rates for staff.
