Main duties of the job

Our Lead Schedulers join us on a 9-month training programme which ensures robust training and support for all of our colleagues. The post holder will need to be organised, reliable, able to prioritise and adaptable to be able to support the office.

ROC Lead Schedulers are responsible for delivering resourcing services to the Trust. This includes planning Relief shifts, processing annual leave requests and allocating annual leave to keep us in line with our KPIs. We manage all sickness calls for the Trust, book specified training days for operational colleagues and support our colleagues with shift swap requests, overtime requests and many other general queries which are managed through numerous Outlook email accounts.

Lead Schedulers also maintain, administer and oversee the Global Rostering System (GRS) for the management of resources and fleet, and the co-ordination of personnel records, rota patterns and abstractions; including the handling of sensitive and confidential information. This will include testing and roll out of software updates, providing help facilities and being responsible for information and records.

ROC Lead Schedulers do not have any line managerial responsibilities but they are relied upon to mentor others in the team. We do want our Lead Schedulers to ‘Lead’ in their given areas and become the experts and be able to work autonomously.
