An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic person, who wants to develop a career in health and safety within the Trust Wide Risk Management Team.
The post holder will be working across the Trust to consolidate and improve the Safety Management System.
This is a full time post, Monday – Friday. Location is split between Broadmoor Hospital in Crowthorne, and St Bernard’s Hospital Site, Uxbridge, Ealing.
The Trust is seeking to recruit an innovative and effective individual to the Health and Safety Advisor post within the multidisciplinary Risk Management Team, with Links to the Patient Safety and Patient Experience.
The successful candidate will be qualified to an NVQ Level 3 standard and work towards achieving NVQ Level 5 and Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Membership.
The candidate will promote good health & safety risk management practices within all clinical and non-clinical environments; provide expert advice and assistance in assessing health and safety risks relating to staff, patients and any other persons affected by the Trust; and design and deliver suitable training programmes that meet the service needs.
The post holder will provide regular updates and written reports on agreed key performance indicators related to service monitoring and improvement (e.g. RIDDOR reports, incident reports etc.).
They must have excellent interpersonal skills and be confident in engaging with Senior Management Teams and staff across the Trust and with external stakeholders such as CQC and the HSE.
