The Rheumatology service cross bay has an exciting opportunity for a 30  hours per week Clinical nurse specialist secondment post. Primarily based at Furness General Hospital in Barrow in Furness, but you may be required to work flexibly across our services  supporting our other sites.

UHMBT is situated on the southern edge of the Lake district with convenient links to the major cities in the north of England.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be supporting the Rheumatology service  across Morecambe Bay .

You will have proven leadership and management experience or proven capability of managing own workload .

Ideally you will have a degree or have completed recent higher models of learning through University .

This role will involve nurse led clinics and there will be opportunities for professional development such as obtaining the non-medical prescribing qualification.

You will be  responsible for running your own nurse led clinic, either face to face or remotely. You will triage concerns from patients/other medical professionals via the Rheumatology answer phone or emails.
