The REU theatre hand holder volunteers give support and assurance to our patients undergoing Ophthalmology operations. The volunteers will establish a rapport with the patients in the waiting area, accompanies them inside the theatre and will go back out to the waiting area with the patient afterwards. This role is best suited to volunteers that have good communication skills, calm, patient, and empathetic with our anxious patients.
Essential Information:

Please kindly note, you will be given a 20-minute assessment on the week commencing either the 14th July, 21st July or 28th July at the Volunteering office at Kingston Hospital.
The Mandatory training for this role will be on Tuesday 9th September 2025.
