Job summary

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit a proactive and self-motivated individual with a keen interest in research to work within the Team One Oncology Research Team.

The post holder will be required to work alongside industry partners, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network (CRN) Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H) and colleagues in neighbouring establishments, attending regional and national meetings as required.

The post holder will contribute actively to the conduct, co-ordination and delivery of Team Ones Research portfolio, under the leadership of the Research Team Manager, working alongside a dedicated team of Nurses and CTAs.

The post holder will be working within a busy clinical research department with a large portfolio of studies within Lung, Melanoma, Neuro-Oncology, Renal, Bladder and Prostate. The post holders main task will be treatment delivery for studies. A current chemotherapy competency is highly desirable or a willingness to work towards this.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an established, experienced and supportive research team and to help maintain and grow an exciting research portfolio.

You will have excellent communication, time management and organisational skills, with a sound clinical background. Oncology research experience is desirable. A commitment to personal professional development as well as supportive development of team members and the service is required.
