The GOSH DRIVE Team is looking for an engineer to focus on data interoperability and standards.
We’ve built a solid base of experience and infrastructure in widely used healthcare technologies like OMOP and FHIR, now we need to expand our tools and processes to take in more use cases for research and process improvement. We work mainly on a small on-premises infrastructure where we’re making increasing use of container orchestration and DevOps to run our Python data pipelines; as well as a pilot cloud project which we’re currently building out for access to scalable compute and other tools.
We hope this new role will help us do as much of this work as possible in a standardised way that will help us make use of, and contribute back to, collections of tools and data in both the NHS and global healthcare communities, helping to save the lives of sick children wherever they might be.
Please contact Daniel Key, DRE Senior Data Engineer ([email protected]) if you have any questions or would like to talk about the role.
No previous experience in research or healthcare is necessary, please apply if you have some of the above technical skills and would like to collaborate closely with clinicians and data scientists to raise the standard of data use in the NHS.
