Job summary

Main duties of the job

This role requires strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with excellent attention to detail.

You will be able to build on your existing clinical skills while practicing in a supportive environment, developing complex decision making and collaborative skills to achieve set metrics and barriers to participation are overcome.

You will ensure that data is collected and recorded accurately and study interventions are administered within the agreed timelines of a study protocol.

Our research participants will look to you to guide and support them through their research journey and provide high standards of care, ensuring specialist information regarding their participation in a study, including explaining all associated risk factors.

You will need to attend relevant inpatient and outpatient areas to provide the individualised care needed as prescribed in the research protocol. This may include assessment of vital signs, ECGs, collection of samples and administration of trial medication/treatments.

You will need to work with the multi professional teams and contribute to looking at working practices within a department to identify study cost and monitoring use of resources throughout the study.

You will be responsible for populating finance spreadsheets to ensure invoices are raised according to the study contract.

You will use computer software (EDGE) to record all research activity and to provide patient reports.
