Are you reliable, dynamic, enthusiastic and well-motivated person with experience of working in a community, or rehabilitation setting?
An opportunity has arisen in the Community Planned therapy team for a Rehabilitation Technician on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract or a 12 month Secondment Opportunity within the service. You will work as an integral part of a friendly Community Planned therapy team, supporting registered staff to provide value based intervention.
Patients are 18 years and over with varying conditions, including neurological, respiratory, mobility and musculoskeletal deficits, giving the opportunity to utilize and develop skills in all the main areas of rehabilitation.
You will work in a supportive environment within a team of experienced physiotherapists, occupational therapists, assistant practitioners and technical instructors delivering high quality therapy to Coventry patients in their own homes.
We are committed to providing clinical supervision and supporting continuing professional development. As part of this role the post holder will be expected to work towards a set of clinical competencies with direct supervision, training and support.
You must have a relevant NVQ qualification with extensive applicable experience and knowledge. Experience of working in a rehabilitation setting is desirable, with awareness and understanding of the role of the Physiotherapist. You should be able to display sound communication and practical skills.
You will be able to illustrate and reflect upon complex patient management and demonstrate sound clinical reasoning. You will be able to prioritise your workload and time effectively to support appropriate caseload management.
There will also be opportunities for participating in various service development projects and attending regular in-service training.
At present the Planned Community Therapy service operates from Monday to Friday core hours, however the job description reflects a seven day service in case of changes to service needs.
The group is currently trialling a new Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) model following a collaborative event with internal and external stakeholders. This pilot aims to explore team structures and assess the impact on patient experience. While no formal redesign has taken place yet, the outcomes of this trial may inform future service delivery and team configuration across the group.
