Band 5 Registered nurse, Outpatients 75. hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Outpatients Team at Workington Outpatients  and the new Community Diagnostic Centre

Main duties of the job

The RGN will undertake  supervision of Band 3 HCA's. Be responsible for the running of the varying speciality clinics and Diagnostic Clinics namely neurophysiology, urology, Cardiology and Respiratory

The RGN will be required to independently manage a clinical workload and undertake safe running of a number of clinics.

The candidate will be required to practice effective communication and organisation skills and possess a number of clinical skills to ensure the safe running of clinics

You will be required to perform a  number of diagnostic tests, which include; spirometry, ECG monitoring, cardiovascular observations, venepuncture, height and weight, urinalysis, bladder scans and flow tests

The successful candidate needs to be flexible in working pattern and be adherent to the Trust Policy and procedures at all times.

The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.

Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period

Standard DBS check £21.50, Enhanced DBS check £49.50 + any admin costs.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Enhanced Check: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
