Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to join our well‑established Community Nursing team based at Westview, Tenterden. Our team supports patients across the Tenterden, Woodchurch and Hamstreet Primary Care Network, delivering personalised, holistic care to adults in their own homes. We help people with complex and long‑term conditions stay safe, well and independent, providing wound care, palliative and end‑of‑life support, symptom management, catheter care, venepuncture and injectable medications. As a close‑knit and supportive team, we take pride in delivering proactive, patient‑focused care that keeps people at home for longer.

You will work within a caring and progressive service operating seven days a week from 08:00–16:00, with occasional late shifts (10:00–18:00) on rotation. Your role will include managing a caseload, supporting students, contributing to team development and delivering high‑quality clinical care in partnership with local GP practices and wider MDT colleagues. Our district nursing teams are closely aligned with the PCN to ensure care is joined‑up and holistic, taking time to understand each patient as an individual.
