Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role are:

-Plan and deliver high quality of care to patients adhering to the trust policies and procedures.

-Maintain a high standard of documentation

-Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal

-Plan and deliver safe admissions and discharges

- Be responsible for the delegation of tasks to other members of the team

-Work well as a team player but also demonstrate abilities to work alone.

-Work with other members of the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes for our patients.

As a staff nurse on Ward 7 you will be responsible for :

The planning, organisation and delivery of care to patients, assessing individual needs to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.

You may depending upon experience also be responsible for supervision of junior staff within the team.

Excellent communication skills are required and you must have the ability to work well on your own initiative or as part of a team.

You should possess good organisational skills.

You must be clinically up to date with nursing skills and motivated to develop professionally.
