We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Registered Nurse or AHP / Paramedic to join the team at Cirencester Minor Injury & Illness Unit.
Our ideal candidate will have recent experience in an acute clinical environment and whilst this is desirable it is not essential if transferable skills can be demonstrated.
You will also have a passion and commitment to the care you deliver & hold the patient experience at the heart of your practice and share our organisational values. You will need to be motivated and enthusiastic in your role & looking for an opportunity to join our highly skilled team of Emergency Practitioners who deliver evidence–based clinical care in our Practitioner Led Unit.
The Band 5 role includes the triage of patients using Manchester Triage and maintaining the safety of patients that are waiting to be assessed whilst working alongside the Emergency Practitioners to deliver care. We see on average 50-65 patients per day presenting with a range of presentations. .
Cirencester Hospital has a dedicated minor injury & illness unit (MIiU) open 7 days a week & the post holder will be required to work a full range of shifts.
At present the service runs from 08:00-20:00.

We provide a Multi-professional preceptorship programme that is aligned to the National Preceptorship Framework for Nursing and have been awarded the Interim quality mark from NHS England. Our programme is provided to all Newly Qualified; Nurses, Nursing Associates, Internationally Educated Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and Return to Practice Practitioners. In addition to the programme we also offer all preceptees the opportunity of enrolling and completing the level 7 (Masters) 15 credit validated module “Preceptorship for Healthcare” (AP7026).
Newly qualified Social Workers are offered the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment programme (ASYE) which is similar to a preceptorship programme.
