Job overview

Introducing our award winning Endoscopy department!

Are you looking for a new opportunity to develop your Nursing career? Why not enquire about a role in Endoscopy today!

Our dedicated team are seeking motivated and caring Registered Nurses to join us, as we continue to deliver excellence in patient care.

The Endoscopy Unit at NNUH is the largest in the UK and operates Monday to Friday 8am-6.30pm; this role does require some on call working (2-3 times per month), however you will not be required to work nights or weekends as part of your standard working week.

Google 'Quadram Institute NNUH' - this is where you will be working for part of your role! Our state of the art Quadram Institute was the result of a huge investment into our Endoscopy services, meaning we can now carry out 40,000 procedures each year, making NNUH home to the largest Endoscopy Unit in Europe.

Our hard working and friendly department offers Nurses the opportunity to work alongside a wider multidisciplinary team in a variety of settings including therapeutic, diagnostic, inpatient and emergency on-call, taking place across our 13 room capacity between the main NNUH site and Quadram Institute.

NNUH is also a centre for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programmes and we are a centre of excellence for endoscopy training, offering approved courses for doctors and nurses.

Main duties of the job

Benefits of joining our expanding Unit include:

  • Great opportunities for training and progression, you will be supported by 3 dedicated clinical educators and our large multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong links with clinical research and studies to advance treatment techniques

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic nurses who have consolidated their learning with post-registration experience at band 5 level in an acute setting and who show a commitment to personal and professional development.
