
Registered Nurse Associate- Band 4
We are looking for an exceptional Band 4 Registered Nurse Associate to join the friendly Clinical Research Facility based at the Churchill Hospital site.
The role would include working alongside a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality, patient centred care to a wide range of patients that come in as part of a clinical research study; many of which will undergo procedures such as Endoscopy; Bronchoscopy; Fine Needle Aspirations for a wide range of medical conditions. The successful candidate would need to be motivated, organised and possess outstanding communication skills. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to work.
We are a nurse-led unit and work closely with a number of clinical researchers across the Trust and the University of Oxford. There are opportunities for extra training and progression. If you are forward thinking and looking for a new challenge, then this could be the job for you.
You will need to be in possession of your NMC qualification or about to qualify.
Informal visits are encouraged.
The unit is rapidly expanding, caring for patients attending for a variety of study activity. These patients need to be cared for as any other patient attending the Trust for an appointment. The activity we support is expanding and nursing associate support will help ensure care and research activity continues to be delivered at a high standard. a
We are currently open between the hours of 07.30 and 1800 Monday to Friday, however, some shift work may be required if study visits require inpatient stay or follow up out of routine hours.
The role would include working alongside a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality, patient centred care to a wide range of research and nursing activity including: supporting endoscopy lists; venepuncture; patient observations; managing the daily tasks of a ward. The successful candidate would need to be motivated, organised and possess outstanding communication skills. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to work.
