The post holder will provide a high quality, comprehensive and proactive recruitment and advisory service for Career Grade posts, including Consultants, Specialty Doctors and Dentists and Bank Recruitment.
The post holder will provide specialist advice and support to Health Board managers and medical/dental staff on all matters relating to recruitment in connection with Organisational and departmental policies and procedures, employment law, best practice and equal opportunities. They will be confident in building relationships across all levels within and outside the organisation.
The post holder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the post involves liaison with medical staff at all levels in addition to outside agencies. A diplomatic and tactful approach is essential, together with a strong focus on customer service.
The post holder will be expected to organise their own workload and the workload of those they supervise appropriately, maintaining standards and attention to detail in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
They will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver innovate, coordinated and cost effective recruitment solutions. Also ensure that the needs of recruiting managers and candidates are dealt with in a responsive and customer focused way.
Also to monitor the effectiveness and quality of recruitment processes within the relevant service areas, identifying and driving improvements as necessary.
To act as ‘Account Manager’, liaising between recruitment managers Shared Services Employment team utilising TRAC to ensure recruitment KPI’s are met and managers receive the necessary support.
Co-ordination and organisation of the recruitment and appointment process for career grade locum and substantive medical and dental staff, from within the UK and overseas, ensuring responsiveness to the needs of all service users.
Day to day line management of the Career Grade Team and Medical Recruitment Advisors for junior doctor recruitment.
Participation in medical recruitment training/recruitment/induction events in the Health Board and wider Health Community, as required.
Deputising for the Medical Recruitment Manager and providing cover for colleagues as required.
Delegated operational lead for departmental risk management and health and safety issues.
Work with Nursing and Operational management to co-ordinate recruitment activities (e.g. open days, career fairs, and media campaigns) to attract the best candidates and ensure that they are appropriately placed.
Monitor recruitment KPIs for recruitment managers, driving improvements in the process and identifying and removing barriers to reduce time to hire
Provide advice, often of a complex nature, to managers on all aspects of the recruitment process and immigration/sponsorship legislation
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
