A full time permanent opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Band 4 Peer Trainer to join our friendly RCE Wellbeing Hub team in the Peterborough locality (teaching in other locations will be expected).
RCE Wellbeing Hub is a collaborative, educational learning environment, which aims to convey messages of hope, control and opportunity to all.
We are seeking a Trainer to co-produce and deliver high quality and relevant courses. The post holder will establish a supportive and respectful relationship with all students of the Wellbeing Hub and represent the Wellbeing Hub and the wider recovery team at conferences and Trust events.
The post holder will hold a professional teaching qualification (or be willing to undertake within 3 months of starting role) and have lived experience of health challenges.
This is a hybrid role teaching throughout Peterborough and Cambridgeshire through face to face sessions, alongside online teaching where you may work from home.

1. Co-deliver high quality, evidence based co-produced courses that last between 90 minutes and 7 hours in length. These courses will be a mix of online and face to face teaching and this may be in the community or based in CPFT sites/inpatient wards. Timetabling permitting you will be expected to deliver training around 80% of your working week.
2. Role model ‘living well’ and authentic recovery staff and students by sharing your own practical lived experience and recovery journey within an educational setting and environment.
3. Participate in the co-production of a minimum of new courses. This includes participating in co-production meetings, course development, creating PowerPoints and supporting the creation of activities and learning aids.
4. Contribute to weekly meetings where you will feedback on work priorities/commitments to the wider team.
5. Represent, promote and network for the RCE Wellbeing Hub online via social media platforms and face to face/remotely via community and Trust events within the county.
6. Value and promote the personal, social, cultural and spiritual uniqueness each student has.
7. Act as a positive role model showing professional and caring attitudes and behaviour towards other multi-disciplinary team members, peers and carers.
8. Raise awareness of recovery language with Trust staff by modelling positive strengths based, non-discriminatory, non-jargon, non-medicalised language in all areas of work.
9. Act as the first line of support for volunteers in relation to mentoring the volunteer placement ensuring that they complete all induction paperwork with the new volunteer in a timely manner.
10. Support the Peer Support Worker agenda by offering training to Peer Support Workers via the RCE Wellbeing Hub and at Peer Forums, Preceptorship and other PSW based events
