Job overview

A vacancy has arisen within the radiology department for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, approachable individual to work as part of the Radiology systems administration team.

You will be a key part of the radiology team providing a service to radiology, the wider Trust and external partners. You must be able to work equally well independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and have excellent telephone and customer service skills.

Reliability, prioritisation with a methodical approach to work and the ability to work calmly under pressure are key qualities. Candidates must possess the ability to problem solve working in a fast paced office environment.

Main duties of the job

This is a very interesting role assisting the Radiology systems administration manager in the management, administration, training and configuration of multiple Trust IT systems used within Radiology.

This post will involve out of hours working for the installation and testing of system upgrades.

Hours of work: 30

Monday-Friday

Candidates are expected to be flexible to meet the need of a 24/7 service.

Job responsibilities

To be a system specialist for Radiology specific information systems and Trust-wide patient information systems that are integral to radiology clinical needs. This will include but not be limited to PACS, RIS, IEP (electronic sending of image) and EPR systems.

To assist with the delivery of business change initiatives and service improvement projects through the implementation of new IM&T systems and associated information system set up and administration.

The post holder will support the Radiology Administration Manager and provide operational manager support to the Radiology Administrator team.
