Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual to join our multi-professional team within Moorfields Private.  We are a division within the main NHS Trust.  Although some of our processes are slightly different, our governance agenda is fully aligned with the Trust.  We are committed to delivering the highest quality care and keeping our patients safe.

The post holder will work in close collaboration with the division's Senior Leadership Team, the central Quality and Safety team and the other Quality Partners and divisional managers within all divisions.

An integral part of the role is helping the multi-disciplinary teams to identify and disseminate shared learning for quality improvement and ensuring consistency between satellite sites and the rest of the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The Quality Partner role includes:

Serious incident and incident management, applying the principles of PSIRF

Clinical audit and effectiveness

Safety and risk

Compliance

Complaints and litigation

To attend Quality and Safety Committees such as local and central Quality Forums, Clinical Governance Committee and Risk and Safety Committee, Clinical Audit Committees and Serious Incident panels, as required in discussion with the central team and Moorfields Private.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To be a local expert in quality and to lead and drive the quality agenda within Moorfields Private

  • To develop and embed the quality governance framework, embedding the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) within Moorfields Private, including the Moorfields Private Quality Forum, Moorfields Private Performance meeting and Senior Leadership Team meetings
  • To develop and deliver local quality training which aligns with the central vision and is consistent with other divisions
  • To lead on the production of themes and trends of quality data within Moorfields Private, with analysis and supporting recommendations for change
  • To lead on developing a learning culture across the Moorfields Private by sharing learning from incidents, audits and any other quality and safety indicators
  • To lead the development and implementation of the quality dashboards and any other quality reports in preparation for monthly/quarterly divisional meetings by undertaking any necessary analysis
  • To contribute to the delivery of the Trust’s objectives on quality, safety and governance and to ensure delivery of the Trust’s 10-year strategy, the Vision of Excellence
  • To contribute to the delivery of national standards and external requirements for all aspects of quality
  • To work closely with the Head of Clinical Governance, Head of Risk and Safety, Head of Patient Experience and Head of Quality and Safety to ensure that central and divisional priorities are aligned
  • To share current challenges and good practice with other quality partners across the network.
