Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Quality and Governance Lead to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality and patient safety across our Mental Health Directorates.

As an integral member of the directorates' senior team, you will provide expert guidance on quality governance, working closely with the Trust’s corporate quality and governance teams. You will lead the development and implementation of robust clinical governance arrangements, ensuring that incidents, complaints, and patient feedback are effectively reported, reviewed, and used to drive meaningful learning and improvement.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and production of directorate quality and safety reports for Trust-wide and directorate meetings.
  • Supporting the Clinical Director, Head of Nursing, and Service Director on patient safety and wider clinical quality issues.
  • Overseeing complaints, serious incident investigations, CQC compliance, audits, and NICE guidelines to support service excellence.
  • Embedding a culture of learning through quality improvement methodology and supporting the delivery of the Trust-wide clinical governance and patient safety agenda.
  • Providing leadership on patient experience and involvement, ensuring service user feedback informs continuous improvement.
