The Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust serves the population of Greater Manchester. The centre has over 150 in-patient beds with sub-specialities including complex ENT, Spinal Surgery, short stay and complex, Major Trauma, Acute Neurology, Stroke Services (Hyper-acute and Rehabilitation), Programme Investigation Unit, and Hyper- Acute Neuro Rehabilitation.

We are looking for Qualified Nurses with a passion for delivering high standards of care to work within this area.

You will be registered with the NMC and have experience of working in a hospital environment, a newly qualified nurse or a final year student.

Ward B8 is a 25 bedded neurosurgical unit, caring for patients with a range of neuro conditions . Nursing staff caring for patients in this area will have opportunity to gain and develop skills in care of pre and post-operative patients, caring for patients with a wide variety of spinal conditions including long term paralysis, oncology and elective spinal surgery.

Salford Royal has teamed up with housing association Salix Homes to provide a 26-apartment complex for doctors, nurses and other clinical staff new to the Trust. Please enquire upon appointment to review availability.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC Pin within the next 2-3 months. Please note an NMC PRN Pin is not a full NMC Pin and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
