Job Purpose

  • The post holder will support our community team’s in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, upholding patient dignity delivered with kindness and compassion.
  • The post holder will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives, and colleagues through contribution to the development and monitoring of agreed evidence-based practice and to the health and social care programmes.
  • The post holder will provide and monitor the nursing care for a designated group of patients during a care episode.
  • The post holder will also actively contribute to an effective learning environment.

Scope and Range

  • The Registered Nurse Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behaviours relevant to employment as a Registered Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised Code of Conduct.
  • The Registered Nursing Associate works independently under the leadership of Registered Nurses, working within the scope of their competence and the role requirements in the delivery of nursing care.
  • The Registered Nurse Associate will have the ability to make decisions within their scope of competence and will liaise and report back any findings and evaluations to Registered Nursing staff.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties Of The Role:

  • Administer or monitor medicines safely and in a timely manner via the NMC agreed routes of administration – adhering to the Rotherham Doncaster & South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, Safe and Secure Handling of Medicines Policy
  • The Registered Nurse Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding,skills, attitudes, and behaviours relevant to employment as a Registered Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised Code of Conduct.
  • The Registered Nursing Associate works independently under the leadership of RegisteredNurses, working within the scope of their competence and the role requirements in the delivery of nursing care.
  • The Registered Nurse Associate will have the ability to make decisions within their scope of competence and will liaise and report back any findings and evaluations to Registered Nursing staff.
  • The Registered Nursing Associate will have the responsibility for their own actions
