Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) is an established provider of the national programme for Talking Therapies. The service provides stepped care treatment for people with mild, moderate and severe common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 3 Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to join NHS Cambridge and Peterborough Talking Therapies  on a permanent contract at various bases across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

We have some flexibility about locations which can be agreed with candidiates.

Main duties of the job

This post requires a combination of office based and working from home days

Staff will hold a caseload of Step 2 patients and provide a combination of in-person treatment, remote and group based treatments with patients presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems.

The will work using telephone, and video calling patients as required.

The work will involve both assessment (Suitability Assessments) in order to determine patient suitability and step as well as treatment for patients.

  • Maintain standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating bodies
  • To deliver assessments, individual and group based treatments at step 2 using video calling, phone and in-person
  • To attend appropriate supervision groups as agreed by clinical lead / team leader.
  • Ensure all aspects of confidentiality relating to both the service and individuals  are always maintained
  • Attend agreed regular clinical and managerial supervision in line with the trust’s  policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure all staff are aware of professional standards expected in the service
  • To participate in Trust’s appraisal, performance management framework and ensure adherence to Clinical Governance policies.
  • To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional  standards of practice.
