Due to internal promotion Ealing Talking Therapies are looking for a qualified PWP to join our supportive and highly regarded Step 2 Ealing Talking Therapies (previously IAPT) team.

Main duties of the job

You’ll support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the Ealing Talking Therapies service. This will include:

  • Providing screening assessments, case management and treatment at Low Intensity/Step 2, following agreed protocols
  • Taking personal responsibility for achieving agreed clinical activity relating to the number of agreed contact hours per week.
  • Assisting patients in the use of computer therapy programmes as part of their clinical care, and evaluating their use.
  • Assisting specific psychological clinical work with adult patients for example going out with patients in exposure work and relaxation training, and going through self -help manuals with patients, under the supervision of a qualified member of the Talking Therapies team as part of their clinical care.
  • Assisting in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups.
  • Assisting in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service, across all settings where care takes place.
  • Attending and contributing to our multi-disciplinary meetings

This role will include working with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and you will be passionate about providing an equal opportunity for all clients to access our services.
