Job overview

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to work within our Getting Help Team in North Durham. The post holder will be responsible for both clinical & caseload supervision, leadership to the Senior Children's Psychological Well-Being Practitioners (CWP’s) and Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioners alongside delivering CBT interventions at a high-quality level.

They will be a vital part of the development of the Governed Psychological Therapies within the GHT. The post holder will be part of the collective leadership of Governed Psychological Therapies and contribute to the development of colleagues in the team. Must be qualified in cognitive behavioural therapy and accredited with BABCP. We also invite applications from qualified CBT Therapists currently in the process of applying for BABCP accreditation. In this case applicants would initially be appointed as a B6 CAMHS CBT Practitioner and supported to achieve full BABCP accreditation within 6 months. Following successful accreditation, the postholder would move the B7 CBT Therapist role.

Applicants without a recognised core professional training and not registered with a professional regulatory body such as HCPC or NMC would need to demonstrate equivalent training and experience in mental health via the Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA) route and therefore have a portfolio of evidence approved as part of your BABCP accreditation.
