We are seeking a motivated and organised Project Support Officer (Band 4) to support delivery of the accelerated Delegated Commissioning programme from 2026/27.
This 12-month fixed-term role will support the expansion of delegated commissioning arrangements across the Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism (MHLDA) portfolio. The postholder will provide essential administrative and coordination support to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, helping to ensure that project activities are well-organised, deadlines are met, and documentation and reporting are accurate and up to date.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and wider programme team, the postholder will support project planning and coordination, maintain project documentation, track risks and issues, and assist with stakeholder communications and governance processes. The role will also support the smooth running of projects through effective use of project management tools and systems.
The post sits within the Transformation and Change Team, with access to structured supervision, peer support, and opportunities for development. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, system-wide transformation programme within a supportive and collaborative environment, focused on strengthening commissioning infrastructure, partnership working, and system assurance.

The Project Support Officer will provide essential administrative, coordination, and support functions to assist the Project Manager in the successful delivery of projects. This role will ensure that project activities are well-organised, deadlines are met, and documentation is accurate and up to date. The Project Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the project team and maintaining effective project management processes within the PMO function.
