Come and join the team at GSTT in the role of Principal Pharmacist/Consultant (pending credentialing) for Cardiovascular!
This role is responsible for leading the GSTT Cardiovascular Pharmacy team and developing pharmacy services within their portfolio to ensure patients receive the safest and most effective pharmaceutical care.
At all times, the post holder will work closely with the Clinical Services Lead Pharmacist to ensure that the services are developed in a strategic and forward-thinking manner and be provided with ample personal and professional developmental opportunities. The post will provide a dynamic link between clinical practice and service development by creating new models for delivering care and ensuring the best outcomes from pharmaceutical care are obtained.
The post holder will act as a role model for the wider pharmacy team and be a pharmacy expert in this field to ensure a consistently high clinical pharmacy service in line with corporate objectives and the NHS long term plan.
The role will be responsible for managing all pharmacy aspects of the cardiovascular service, including governance, quality and safety, effective transfer of care between health care providers and a close management of the cardiovascular pharmacy budget. They will work closely with the Cardiovascular clinical leadership team and have opportunity to represent the department at high level, strategic meetings.

As the Principal Pharmacist/Consultant (pending credentialing) for Cardiovascular Services, the post holder will be responsible for providing leadership, and line management when necessary, to the GSTT Cardiovascular Pharmacy team, inclusive of the following areas:
The post holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Services Lead Pharmacist and relevant members of the clinical Directorate Management Team to strategically develop pharmacy services in line with national, regional and local priorities.

The role will be responsible for managing all pharmacy aspects of the cardiovascular service, including governance, quality and safety aspects and a close management of the cardiovascular pharmacy budget.
The role will work collaborative with members of the wider Pharmacy Seniors’ Group to contribute to the development of the wider Pharmacy Clinical services agenda and associated workforce and departmental innovations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring leader to take on service development projects, work collaboratively across the MDT, undertake financial planning and management of a pharmacy service, oversee the development of appropriate pharmacy governance pathways for this specialty and undertake and support research in this clinical area.
