We are offering a full-time, fixed-term training post leading to a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship after 2 years of study and on the job training, enabling you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a qualified Pharmacy Technician upon completion.

To apply for the post you will require GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C (level 4 or above) and 3 other subjects at GCSE level at a minimum of grade C (level 4) or equivalent qualification.

Main duties of the job

As a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician you will:

  • Participate in a structured training programme delivered in partnership with an accredited education provider.
  • Gain hands-on experience in the hospital pharmacy, including dispensary, aseptic services, pharmacy stores and ward-based services.
  • Support pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants in providing safe, effective, and efficient pharmacy services.
  • Balance work-based learning and study time to meet educational and professional standards set by the GPhC.
  • You will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence and pass assessments as part of your qualification.
