Job summary

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a team of pre-registration trainee Pharmacy Technicians rotating around each LTHT site and you will meet a wide range of people from lots of different backgrounds. Working closely with your fellow trainee pharmacy technicians and multi-disciplinary teams you will gain valuable knowledge and skills along the way.

Your duties will include working in our hospital inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, dispensing prescriptions and issuing prescribed items, contributing to all aspects of pharmaceutical stock control.

You will gain experience working on the hospital inpatient wards, delivering pharmacy ward-based services including taking patient medication histories and educating patients on their medicines. There will also be placements within other MMPS departments with a possibility of visiting other pharmacy organisations external to LTHT.

The post holder will be required to work evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis.
