Looking for a supported role to develop your neuropsychology skills? Come and join the Guys & St Thomas’ Community Neuropsychology team in Southwark & Lambeth. We work within Stroke and Neurorehabilitation services to provide a clinical service across the rehabilitation pathway from inpatient to community settings. You will have the opportunity to hone your skills in neuropsychological assessment and therapeutic work for people with a range of newly acquired and long term neurological conditions. You will work closely with other psychologists and multi-disciplinary colleagues, in a service that supports all members to be engaged with research and innovation. You will join a supportive neuropsychology team with an 8c Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, 8a Clinical Psychologist, Assistant Psychologists and Trainees. We welcome applications from trainees who will be qualifying in 2026 and there will be opportunities to work across different streams of the service according to your development needs.

Main duties of the job

You will be providing specialist psychological & neuropsychological assessment and treatment for clients within the 6-bedded inpatient Level 2b service based at the Pulross Centre in Brixton, working embedded within the MDT and supported closely by the Consultant lead. You will also hold a caseload of clients living in the community which may include clients with stroke & acquired brain injuries, long term and progressive neurological conditions, and functional neurological conditions. Alongside 1:1 interventions, you will also use assessment findings and specialist knowledge to provide guidance and consultation to support neurorehabilitation and psychological care by all members of the MDT. You will have supervisory responsibilities, service-related research and development goals. We facilitate and support a variety of teaching and group interventions within the service, with opportunities to develop these further.
