Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The main purpose of a Practice Assessor is to support, supervise, and objectively assess Student Nursing Associates (SNAs) and Registered Nurse Degree Apprentices (RNDAs) in the clinical learning environment to ensure they develop the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours required for safe and effective practice.

The role ensures that students’ progress toward meeting the NMC Standards of Proficiency, receive high-quality learning experiences, and are assessed fairly, consistently, and in line with regulatory requirements.
