
Carry out instructions as detailed by Line Manager. Meet packing/ distribution targets as set by Line Manager. Ensure that all duties are carried out at the appropriate pace. Complete any paperwork in a tidy and correct manner. To undertake training as necessary and to be able to demonstrate their competence in all tasks within the service. Undertake duties in such a manner that all service enquiries/requests from all users are handled in an efficient, effective and professional manner, particularly telephone manner and uniform queries. Assist in the application and execution of the departments Quality Assurance system. Assist in the development, implementation and subsequent operation of a ‘controlled uniform issue service’. Report to Line Manager any issues that may be detrimental to the Linen Services operation in particular; unauthorised use of roll cages, unauthorised use of linen, inappropriate disposal of linen, unauthorised removal of linen from the hospital premises. On instruction from Line Manager, undertake duties outside the Post Room, for example, special deliveries to wards/departments, stock checks, collect loose linen from around the site, retrieve roll cages, collection and return of exchange trolleys. Any other duties which may be required from time to time as service demands dictate.
