Many of the tasks can be particularly repetitive and physically demanding. Please see job description for further information. Shift times will vary, you will generally work 5 days out of 7 to meet the needs of the department.

Main duties of the job
Please note that Porters new to the Trust are required to work on a flexible basis covering a variety of shifts which will include some bank holiday and weekend working. The successful candidates will provide effective / efficient Portering services using all equipment and resources available to the department. Primary duties will be to ensure that patients are transported safely between wards and departments, the collection of all waste streams, delivery and collection of linen to wards and other associated tasks.

- To assist Trust management in the provision of effective / efficient Portering Service using all equipment / resources available to the department
