We are looking for a Dynamic, Self-motivated e Podiatrist to work in the tri-borough area of Central London, providing care to residents across Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster. So what do you need to join our team? • A BSc in Podiatry • You will need to be able to adapt to a fast moving service, work autonomously, and possess the clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team • Candidates should have excellent communication skills, comprehensive clinical assessment skills and the ability to provide care as determined by clinical assessments. • To have strong relationship building skills to work positively in your nursing team, multidisciplinary teams and with patients
Main duties of the job
- To autonomously assess and diagnose patients with a diverse range of medical and podiatric conditions, using appropriate diagnostic techniques, skills and tools; to adopt a problem-solving approach to patient care, ensuring that all clients treated have an agreed treatment plan • To create and implement tailored treatment and care plans using a variety of appropriate treatment regimens for a range of patient groups including those in the “at risk” categories, focusing on the management of primary foot pathologies. • This includes patients with the following conditions (this list is not exhaustive): o Chronic Disease , for example Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis o Neurological and vascular disorders, Parkinson’s Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease o HIV o Poly-pharmacy o Wound management o Maintenance of tissue viability o Terminal Illness o Mental Health o Learning Difficulties Musculoskeletal trauma and injury
