The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St Mary’s Hospital is recruiting for an experienced PICU Nurse at Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner. The successful applicant will join to support a multidisciplinary team of skilled and highly motivated staff who provide quality care to children with a wide variety of conditions including medical, surgical, trauma, infectious diseases, orthopaedics, plastics, ENT and the largest Bone Marrow Transplant Centre non-malignant blood cancers in the UK.
The St Mary’s site is a designated children’s and adult major trauma centre with a dedicated 24/7 Children’s Emergency Department; and a specialist High Consequence Infectious Disease Unit within our PICU.
We are looking for a Band 8a PICU Advanced Clinical Practitioner who is committed to delivering high quality care and will support our current and future services. The post holder must have completed two years of the specialist ACP Pathway or can demonstrate skills in patient assessment and non-medical prescribing.
They must be prepared to undertake competency training alongside the development of an e-portfolio in-line with the speciality. They will engage in all development opportunities and be enthusiastic about their own development and growth and that of others.
