Job overview

Are you an experienced MSK Physiotherapist with an interest in leadership? Would you like the opportunity to work as a senior clinician within a team that has strong links with the integrated services for MSK and Pain? Then why not join our Musculoskeletal Outpatient Service at Fairfield

You must be able to demonstrate specialist skills in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions and the ability to manage a complex caseload. As an autonomous practitioner, you will need to be self-motivated, well organised and work well under pressure.

You will have evidence of leadership skills through project work and be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellent care and customer service. You will lead a small team of physiotherapists and should have proven experience of staff and service development.

This 12-month maternity cover post offers development in clinical, research, and leadership skills. Opportunities for staff training and protected supervision time are well established within the service.

Main duties of the job

To manage a caseload of patients with complex MSK presentations; persistent pain, rheumatology, and orthopaedic conditions: both face-to-face and virtually

To provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff

To support Service Leads in effective operational management of the MSK department on a day-to-day basis

To actively participate in service improvement and delivery of high quality, safe, person-centred care

There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research.

To support Service leads with workforce planning and recruitment

To manage patient concerns and support Service Leads in the investigation of formal complaints and incidents.
