This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a wonderful team of Oncology Physiotherapists at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre as a Band 6 Physiotherapist. This role would be suitable for and established Band 6 looking to develop their specialist oncology skills or Band 5 Physiotherapists ready to step into a Band 6 role. This post is a Fixed Term Position covering maternity leave for 12 months. We would also consider applications for an external secondment, subject to prior approval from the applicant's line manager.
Currently the Physiotherapy service covers Monday to Friday 8.00 – 16.30 with on call cover Saturday and Sunday 08.00 – 16.30 on a rota basis. Our on call service covers ward based respiratory patients at CCC Liverpool only. (We do not have ventilated patients or NIV/CPAP). There is also plan to introduce bank holiday working on a rota basis in the near future.
You will be supported with a comprehensive induction and training package, regular peer support, in-service training and 1:1 clinical supervision.

The role is hugely rewarding and enables Physiotherapists to develop areas of special interest. You will be given training and support to help you develop your Oncology skills and manage this varied caseload.
The majority of your role will be supporting our Haemato-Oncology and Solid Tumour patients to live well, with and beyond Cancer. You will have a varied and diverse caseload including rehabilitation, respiratory, neurology, metastatic spinal cord compression management, scar tissue management and elements of palliative and supportive care.
We promote close MDT working allowing a holistic approach to patient care.
You will consolidate knowledge and develop clinical and non-clinical skills within a supportive environment and be actively involved in the development of our specialist services, supervision of junior staff and student education.
