What We’re Looking For

A qualified physiotherapist with relevant experience in musculoskeletal therapy and occupational health.

Strong clinical reasoning skills with the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.

Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and stakeholders.

A proactive approach, with a passion for workplace wellbeing and preventative care.

Main duties of the job

Provide expert physiotherapy services within Occupational Health to support employee health and wellbeing.

Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver interventions tailored to workplace-related musculoskeletal conditions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Occupational Health professionals, to enhance employee recovery and return-to-work processes.

Promote proactive health initiatives, offering advice and guidance to staff to prevent workplace injuries and improve overall wellbeing.

Participate in service development and continuous improvement, ensuring best practices in physiotherapy within Occupational Health settings.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Undertake physiotherapy assessment, clinically diagnose and implement agreed treatment plans and evaluate outcomes.

To advise, assist and educate Physiotherapists, and Student Physiotherapists as well as other members of the MDT within Occupational Health service in the management of routine patients  from a physiotherapy perspective.

Ensure effective communication with patients, carers and all other Health & Social Care professionals regarding all aspects of patient care. This will include patients who may have difficulties in understanding or communicating.

Assist in supporting the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service in proactive health management.

Responsible for the management of a physiotherapy database to support data collection

Work with service users and key stakeholders to support the development and co-delivery of training programmes related to the health and wellbeing needs of the Trust.

Facilitate individual and group interventions e.g. using highly developed persuasive and motivational skills to achieve improvement and overcome resistance.
