We’re looking for experienced Senior Physiotherapists to deliver high quality care across our Stroke pathway (rotating between Acute hospital care and a new specialised Stroke Rehabilitation Unit based in a community setting).

It is expected that the post holder will contribute to seven-day services and respiratory on call.

Main duties of the job

This is a senior physiotherapist post requiring significant post graduate experience.

The post holder will be responsible for rapid response, advanced assessment & treatment of complex and /or chronic presentations and will provide highly specialist advice for patients within the hospital and community setting and teaching and training to therapy colleagues working in other clinical areas, and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will be responsible for supervision and training of other therapy staff including rotational band 5 staff, Therapy assistants and students.

The post holder will also undertake a co-ordinating role in the delivery of the therapy service within their specific clinical area on a day-to-day basis and this will include the provision of a 7-day therapy service in our clinical specialities
