Applications are invited for the position of Phlebotomist, based on the Ninewells Hospital site. You will be taking blood samples by venepuncture within an established team of phlebotomists who deliver a 5-day outpatient service and 7-day service for in-patients and outpatients throughout Ninewells Hospital and to out-patient clinics. Basic phlebotomy skills and previous experience in a healthcare environment are essential, however full departmental training will be provided. Good team working, time management, communication and interpersonal skills are essential. A flexible approach to working pattern will be required.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are: 20 hours per week on-site

This includes 5 x 4-hour sessions per week. Sessions will be worked 8:00am -12:00 noon, Monday to Sunday, and afternoon shifts are typically worked 13:00 – 17:00. There will also be a requirement to participate in a public holiday rota.
