Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and self-motivated individual, who already holds an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, to join the LTHT Clinical Trials team as a Senior Pharmacy Services Assistant. In this role you will work with our dedicated Clinical Trials dispensary team of technicians, pharmacist, assistants and apprentices providing support services to the clinical trial research teams. With over 350 different trials running at site, you will get to experience a varied and unique workload, including suiting up in full PPE to handle biohazardous medicines, using ultra low temperature freezers, and dispensing medicines which may be being used for the very first time in humans! We play an important role in collecting data to support the approval process for new medicines, so you must be able to work accurately and have a keen eye for detail.
