An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the pharmacy homecare team in the provision of a medicines home delivery service at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. This post may require some cross site working but will be based primarily at the Chelsea site. The Pharmacy Homecare Assistant role is key in the services data information entry requirements and other clerical and administration requirements including liaising with the 3rd party providers with respect to any service delivery issues, invoicing requirements, supporting service KPI management and service efficiencies reporting. This is a good opportunity to gain excellent experience and be part of a dynamic team. The trust has invested in pharmacy as a key component in further enhancing the quality and efficiency of services to patients with the homecare service development being one of the latest exciting pharmacy initiatives. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to undertake the role and support the pharmacy in the development of a premium service in the home delivery medicines. To assist the Pharmacy Homecare Technician in the co-ordination of the day-to-day activities in the Homecare service and ensure that the administrative duties relating to medicines delivered by homecare are carried out in accordance with Trust and departmental policies and procedures.

2.1. Work closely with the Pharmacy Homecare Technician to ensure smooth running of the Homecare service. 2.2. To process homecare prescriptions accurately, including scanning and securely emailing them to the appropriate homecare provider. 2.3. To manage operational tasks related to homecare services, including handling provider queries, reconciling invoices, and ensuring timely processing within the EPIC system. 2.4. To manage and update Homecare Database and Microsoft Teams Homecare channels daily. 2.5. To liaise with patients with respect to registration and explain the homecare process at point of consent (if/when required). 2.6. To liaise with the Specialist Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure new patients are registered and the prescriptions obtained, and all prescribing requirements are met. 2.7. To plan workload and ensure daily, weekly and monthly timetables are met together with other schedules.
